The 'old' South African flag, officially used from 1928 - 1994, is a horizontal orange, white and blue tricolour, with three smaller flags centred on the white stripe: the Union Flag, the flag of the Orange Free State, and the lag of the South African Republic (Transvaal).
This flag is also known as the oranje - blanje - blou (OBB) flag.
